Raleigh’s Room

As soon as we found out we were having a little girl, I went Pinterest crazy. I spent hours gathering ideas on how I wanted to create her space. I wanted something we could both enjoy. Something mellow and calming, but beautiful and inviting. I knew I wanted to take a slightly minimal approach. Minimalism is all the rage these days. I love pictures and coffee cups too much to be a minimalist, but I wanted my daughters room to be simple and clean. Also, I was determined to save a buck or two.

Crib: IKEA $100

Llama crib sheet: Target $14

Baby blanket: Target

Olympic white and mint paint: Lowes $50

Gold medallion stickers: Target

Shag rug: TJ Maxx

Tasseled storage bin: Target $11 on sale

Curtain: Target $4 on clearance

Kitten: Craigslist $Free

Gold circle shelf: Target $35

Changing pad cover: Target $15

Roller cart: Target

Cube organizer: Walmart $30

Rocking chair: My Mama’s rocking chair she used to rock my two brothers and I in

Chest: Stole from parents a while ago

Rug: TJ Maxx

Window: Baby Shower gift

I adore spending time in this room. It fits Raleigh’s personality so well. Plus, it’s oh so functional. Not everything has to be Pinterest perfect in order to be beautiful, and to feel like home. I can’t thank my own mom enough for all the help, and to all my friends and family for their generous gifts.

Tip: Registering at MyRegistry was the greatest decision ever. You can pick items from virtually anywhere and have it all in one place. Obviously target should be on your list.

Simply,

Morgan
